Christianity involves a process of growth for all Believers.
2 Peter 3:18a NKJV
“but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
The word of God enables us to grow.
1 Peter 2:2 NKJV
“as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,”
Ananias helped Paul grow by taking him through water baptism.
Acts 22:16 NKJV
“And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.’”
Ananias helped Paul grow by leading him to receive the Holy Ghost.
Acts 9:17 NKJV
“And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
Paul developed very fast and soon became a “Lay preacher.”
Acts 9:20 NKJV
“Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God.”
Paul faced his first opposition.
Acts 9:21 NKJV
“Then all who heard were amazed, and said, “Is this not he who destroyed those who called on this name in Jerusalem, and has come here for that purpose, so that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?”
Winners grow in the face of opposition.
Acts 9:22 NKJV
“But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this Jesus is the Christ.”
May you overcome all opposition and rather grow stronger. May you mature into the fullness of Christ, in Jesus’s name.
