Christian ministry is developed over a period of time by going through various stages of training.
Galatians 4:1-2 NKJV
“Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father.”
You have to prove yourself faithful.
Luke 16:12 NKJV
“And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?”
Paul began as a new convert and Ananias was his first mentor.
Acts 9:10a NKJV
“Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.”
Christ sent him to pray for Saul.
Acts 9:11 NKJV
“So the Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying.”
Saul had seen a vision of Ananias.
Acts 9:12 NKJV
“And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight.”
Ananias laid hands on Saul for healing.
Acts 22:12a-13 NKJV
“Then a certain Ananias…..came to me; and he stood and said to me, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight.’ And at that same hour I looked up at him.”
Ananias instructed Saul about the ministry God had for him.
Acts 22:14-15 NKJV
“Then he said, The God of our fathers has chosen you that you should know His will, and see the Just One, and hear the voice of His mouth. For you will be His witness to all men of what you have seen and heard.”
May God give you mentors who will guide you. May you have clear insight into God’s plan for your life, in Jesus’s name.
