Paul received the gospel that he preached by revelation.
Galatians 1:11-12 NKJV
“But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
The Apostles recognised that Paul had a special grace to minister to Gentiles.
Galatians 2:7 NIV
“On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised.”
God gave Paul a special anointing to minister to Gentiles in particular.
Galatians 2:8 NIV
“For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles.”
The Apostles rebuked those who tried to put the burden of circumcision and other Jewish customs on the Gentiles.
Acts 15:10 NIV
“Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear?”
Paul’s message was specially tailored for Gentiles.
2 Peter 3:15 NIV
“Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.”
Some of Paul’s revelation was difficult for Jewish Believers to understand.
2 Peter 3:16b NIV
“..His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.”
May God grant you understanding of the mysteries of the faith. May you receive keys that unlock blessings, in Jesus’s name.
