Paul and Barnabas had to develop great resilience and tenacity. The forces trying to stop them from preaching the gospel were very formidable.

“For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.”
The apostles faced constant opposition from violent haters.
They overcame by looking at the example of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 12:2 NKJV
“looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Christ was the epitome of endurance.
Hebrews 12:3 NKJV
“For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.”
The sinners in days of Christ were in two groups.
•The hateful sinners.
These are the sinners who loved evil and would not come to Christ.
John 3:19 NKJV
“And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”
The second group of sinners were those who loved Christ.
Luke 15:1 NKJV
“Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him.”
This group of sinners would eat with Christ.
Matthew 9:10 NKJV
“Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples.”
The hypocrites criticised Christ’s association with repentant sinners.
Jesus rejected their criticism.
Matthew 9:12 NKJV
“When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”
May you overcome all haters and fulfil your divine purpose. May you develop toughness to overcome all difficulties, in Jesus’s name.
