Paul’s message in Antioch of Pisidia focused strongly on Christ’s atoning death on the cross.
First, the Jews condemned Him.
Acts 13:27 NKJV
“For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not know Him, nor even the voices of the Prophets which are read every Sabbath, have fulfilled them in condemning Him.”

The Jews expressed a strong disapproval of Jesus before Pontius Pilate, and sentenced Christ to death.
John 19:6a NKJV
“Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!”

The “Early apostles” however always stressed that the maltreatment and crucifixion of Jesus was in fulfilment of prophecy.
The suffering Messiah.
Isaiah 53:3 NKJV
“He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.”

Christ suffered for mankind.
Isaiah 53:5 NKJV
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

Christ Himself predicted His coming suffering.
Matthew 20:18-19 NKJV
“Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death,

Christ predicted His crucifixion.
Matthew 20:19a NKJV
“and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify.”

Christ predicted His resurrection.
Christ’s predictions were very precise. He described events and their timeframes exactly.
Matthew 20:19b NKJV
“And the third day He will rise again.”
