Paul and Barnabas: 11
Rev Robert Ampiah-Kwofi

After their spectacular ministry in Cyprus, Paul and Barnabas were directed by the Holy Ghost to Antioch in Pisidia.
Acts 13:14 NKJV
“But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and sat down.”

This Antioch was in Pisidia, and is different from the Antioch in Syria, where they had been based.
A setback from a defector.
Paul and Barnabas suffered a minor setback in Perga, before they arrived in Antioch.
Acts 13:13 NKJV
“Now when Paul and his party set sail from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia; and John, departing from them, returned to Jerusalem.”

They had earlier on chosen John Mark to accompany them, as their minister.
Acts 13:5 NKJV
“And when they arrived in Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. They also had John as their assistant.”

They had brought John Mark back with them to Antioch after they went to deliver relief items at Jerusalem.
Acts 12:25 NKJV
“And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had fulfilled their ministry, and they also took with them John whose surname was Mark.”

John Mark would later become the reason for the breakup of the apostolic team.
They went into the synagogue in Antioch.
Acts 13:14 NKJV
“But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and sat down.”

God opens a great door for the apostles.
Acts 13:15 NKJV
“And after the reading of the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, “Men and brethren, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.”

May almighty God open great doors for you. May any person that will trouble you later on, be flushed out, in Jesus’s name.
